Passing Course

To pass Municipal and Public Transport course you have to participate in classes and prepare an essay or Power Point presentation on one of topics below:

Municipal transport in one of your biggest cities (types of transport – underground, trams, bicycles, boats etc., how many citizens, area, network of transport – maps, photos, charts, tables etc.)
Own topic – prepare your own concept.

Please, prepare approximately 30 slides.
You are obliged to prepare the presentation as a form of your exam.
You will present your presentations on our meetings.

The need for transport in a city results from the necessity to overcome space at a specific time and in a certain way. Faster overcoming greater distances between different urban areas has resulted in a decrease in population density in the city. The development of the urban transport network, especially in inner-city areas, is not fast. This is due to the nature of the building. In addition to personal flows, a significant part of the flows are transports of all kinds of cargo. In class, these issues will be discussed in more detail.
