Erasmus Days at UTP

On 10th October 2019, the Erasmus World Days were held in the lobby of the University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz.

During the Erasmus Day, which was held under the slogan „Tastes of Erasmus”, you could get to know partner universities, meet with foreign students, listen to memories and watch movies from previous trips. One of the main attractions was the opportunity to taste dishes from countries where students from UTP come from. The dishes were prepared by well-known traveler and food critic Robert Makłowicz.

Robert Makłowicz, born in 1963 in Krakow, journalist, author of books and television programs on culinary, cultural and historical topics. He studied at the faculties of law and history of the Jagiellonian University in a highly unsystematic and selective manner, as he did not complete any of these faculties. He has always been passionate about history, especially the history of Central Europe during the Habsburg rule.

Other interests can be called broadly understood consumption – from fruit distillates (especially from Williams pears, mulberries, quinces, plums, apples, apricots and mixed), wines (necessarily grüner veltliner and pinot noir) and cuisine (a strange predilection for moths with sheep cheese and greaves) smoked bacon).

The event was also attended by students of the Group of Technical Chemical School – Dariia and Kamil. They shared their impressions and displayed a film that they created together with the whole group during a professional internship in Sicily. Students who had the opportunity to take part in their university study abroad also told about their experiences, and UTP employees presented the offer of foreign universities.

As you can guess from the faces of students participating in the event, it was tasty, but not enough.
